Feeling stressed out, worn out by fatigue or just simply having a miserable day, the best thing to do is relax. Using the proper way to breath, you can achieve an optimal degree of relaxation and alleviate some of the stressors and aches and pains that come with stress. One more way of relaxation is Yoga. This type of relaxation technique is very similar to the effects of acupuncture whereby it releases a chemical compound known as endorphins. Endorphin helps to relax muscles, ease panic, decrease pain, and reduce anxiety. Yoga is a form of progressive relaxation. Yoga can significantly reduce the time for you blood pressure to get back to normal. Transcendental meditation is another form of relaxation. Recent studies have also shown that this method might reduce artery blockage, which is a major cause for heart attack and stroke. People practice transcendental meditation by repeating uttering soothing sounds while meditating, this is to achieve total relaxation. The researchers found that practitioners of transcendental meditation significantly reduced the thickness of their arterial wall compared with those who didn't practice transcendental meditation. It also encourages spiritual healing. Entertainment like watching TV is not recommended by most experts but if it can reduce your stress then, you can use as a form of relaxation. But watching the television can also give you some stressors such as ads, commercials, sound and images that might annoy you in the process. One more effective way to relieve stress and anxiety tensions is to get into shape. Get into some physical exercise regiment and do it consistently. A 30 to 45 minutes of physical exercise four to five times a week and get you energized everyday and improve your weight and overall health. In conclusion, always take time off from your arduous job, and life stressors. Life is too short, Take it easy and relax. Relaxation is key to healthy life.
